Title: Sculpture composed of sticks
Location: Wilder Bowl, Oberlin College
Context: Starting Saturday February 19th, 2017, Oberlin College began a period of experience unusually warm and gentile weather, ranging from 55- 70 degrees during a month where there is quite often snow on the ground. Students took advantage of this time, hanging outside with friends and many times interacting with people that hadn’t seen since it was past warm. This sculpture of found materials was made able to appreciated by students and for me was the first piece of public student art i have seen all year.
Potential Relevance: This piece is not only important because it’s a piece of presumably student art, but is also reflective of how this campus has so much more life and community in it when the weather is nice.
