Test Stamps from the Mail Art Movement

Oberlin, Ohio

From the collection of stamps within the Mail Art collection/archive in the Clarence Ward art library, which contains over 20,000 pieces in total, by a large number of international artists dating back to the beginnings of the movement. These ink stamps in particular were made by mail artists for use within the work, as well as for external usage in the functioning of the medium itself (postage), and now exist as a donated item within the archive. These stamps offer a very small glimpse of the total collection.
